I did lose a few of the babies in this clutch but these are all of the first clutch this year that belong to Tawny and they are all doing great and are very strong healthy babies. I had request to do a video once all of these babies have left their eggs :) Amazing array of colors and patterns some bright light pink with dots on them and many with the light pink skin and purple patterns. Can't wait to see them after their first shed and I apologize for not being with it when I recorded this video I had been up and down all night for several nights checking on the eggs to make sure to give the babies a soak and move them into their enclosure. It's a lot of work and takes dedication but so worth it they are so precious. :) It's amazing how intelligent and resourceful snakes are even at one day old as you will see in this video !!

Tipr (Adult Ball Python) was getting ready to shed and his nostrils were dry and making noise so I took him out to put some Vitamin E Oil on his nostrils so his breathing was clear but Deffer my deaf cat decided that she wanted all of Tipr's time and attention. She has been pals with some of my snakes for 14 years now and she's VERY protective of my snakes so I had to give Deffer her time with Tipr before I could put the oil on his nose
I DO NOT ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO FORCE TWO ANIMALS TOGETHER OF UNCOMMON SPECIES !!! THIS RELATIONSHIP HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE CHOICE OF MY CAT AND SNAKES AND HAS NEVER BEEN ONE THAT THEY WERE FORCED INTO !!!!

Snakes that were previously abused or neglected and were rescued most times turn out to be amazing animals and they do realize when someone makes life better for them and they return that love with trust !!
The vet had this snake on iv's for two days and he really didn't feel the snake would make it. The snake had all the skin and flesh ripped off the last four inches of his tail nothing except a bloody bone exposed (Thus the name I gave the snake, TIPR) the guy said he was in a hurry to get his shed off before he brought me the snake. The snake was infested with mites and dehydrated an badly malnourished.

Other than taking proper care of our snakes and keeping their enclosures clean and their environment comfortable for them we have to stay stocked up on food for all of our snakes and that's the most important part of accepting responsibility for these amazing animals to make sure ALL of their needs are provided for.
I order all of my 40 snakes food from Rodent Pro and have for some time now. Their prices are great and their feeders are of excellent quality and the packaging is great !! When I placed my most recent order I got permission from one of the staff members at Rodent Pro to make this video using their company name and information to make a video in their behalf.

My snakes are all raised to be very social animals and Spike is somewhat the bossy snake of my 5 hold backs I produced last year and he finally met my cat Deffer and Deffer greeted Spike with her usual lick on the head that she gives all my snakes and Spike took great offense in Deffer's friendly approach LOL Love this video the snakes purple colors really show up well :)

Spike one of my Corn Snakes I produced last year, has always been a very assertive brave snake and he more or less keeps the other 4 snakes from this clutch under his control. H'es very protective of the other four. It always amazed me how nature has equipped snakes with their own way of threatening their prey and it's very neat the way Corn Snakes simulate the defensive behavior of a Rattlesnake by vibrating and shaking their tail. It's merely a threatening behavior and if I put my hand in front of his face inside the container where he is he will turn away and try to run and hide.
I always interact with my snakes when they are eating so they don't actually feel threatened by me they just like to act all big, tough and brave and show off and Spike is great at doing this LOL

This topic comes up all the time and many people feel that snakes prefer to be left alone in their enclosures when in fact over all the years I've raised snakes, I take mine outdoors and have found they really enjoy having some freedom to explore and get some exercise and actually often give me resistance when I try to put them back into their enclosures because they are used to bonding with me and other people. This video was made a year ago and Jade is MUCH larger now but she still loves to be out with me and I felt this would be an appropriate time to post this because of the varied opinions on this topic. This is a great topic for discussion and it depends on the quality of time that a handler is willing to invest working with their snakes as to how social their snakes are capable of being.

Snakes make great pets and companions but before you get one be sure and do research and be prepared to accept full responsibility for the animal to insure that the snake has a healthy and good quality of life. I suggest either a Corn Snake or King Snake as a first pet snake because they are rather easy to take care of and generally have great personalities and temperaments and seldom have picky eating habits nor bad sheds.

All of my first clutch baby Corn Snakes are pipping their eggs and already leaving their eggs and they are coming into this world very defensive and brave and are so cute standing and ready to fight everything that moves to protect their lives. :)

I guess in a snakes mind food taste better when you steal a thawed larger feeder out of the thaw tray that was intended for my Dumeril's Ground Boa and then dragged the feeder back into her enclosure by it's leg and then charges at me because she thought I was trying to steal her stolen rat ROFLMAO I didn't really expect her to eat her own smaller thawed rat since she's ready to shed much less she stole a JUMBO rat from Faide's food. This isn't Ginger's usual enclosure so I was holding her in this older one until I finished upgrading her larger new enclosure.
Ginger didn't bite the rat, she grabbed it's leg and dragged it from the feeder tray into her enclosure. I had the door unlocked because I was going to feed her so when I walked away to grab my coffee she came out and when I came back with my coffee it was in time to see her dragging the rat inside her enclosure by it's leg
